FIVE WINDOWS
Ultimate presence
MINASE’s case-in-case structure originated from its vision to create a multifaceted case with diverse surfaces that showcase the watchmaker’s signature technique of advanced Sallaz polishing.
During development, each time one of the facets of the watch was designed, it produced a new reflection of light, eventually culminating in multiple layers of light that reflect off the watch.
This persistent design process naturally led to the birth of the case-in-case design embodied by FIVE WINDOWS, a timepiece of pure uniqueness.
MINASE artisans spend as much as 30 minutes to make the single part of a crown, and 90 minutes to craft the single part of a dial ring that also functions as indices.
They apply Sallaz polishing to every cut surface, no matter how small it may be, taking as much time and effort as the work requires, to achieve the consummate beauty of FIVE WINDOWS.
MINASE was determined to create and bring to the world a true masterpiece of a watch that only it could do, thanks to its origin as a tool manufacturer. MINASE poured its heart and soul into making FIVE WINDOWS, giving the watch brand name recognition on the world stage.
The case-in-case structure is like a microcosm enclosing time.
The views through the five sapphire glass windows are silent like the snowy view of a Japanese garden through a sliding paper door or circular window, representing the delicate beauty that varies with the time.

FEATURES
Sallaz polishing is a substrate preparation technique for achieving accurate mirror surface processing. It is a phantom polishing technique that few craftsmen can perform well even in Switzerland; it is a craftsman’s skill that MINASE excels at globally.
Sallaz polishing is the pinnacle of delicate work requiring about 500 processes to prepare a single watch.
Note that the hands are slightly curved at the end in order to capture the solidity even more beautifully.
Also, the case-in-case structure is an essential feature of the HiZ Series. Ultimate beauty is achieved by extremely precise stacking of the independent movement, dial plate, and index through careful polishing and patient work.
You can enjoy the solid look of the triple combination of the movement, dial plate, and index through the side windows. The metal parts with different surface finishes harmonize with the sapphire glass. Enjoy the craftsmanship that cannot be seen from the front.
