Hoshimi Sakura
(Cherry blossoms viewed under the stars)
Cherry blossoms viewed upward at night possess a different charm from those seen in the daytime. Such a scene has been captured on the dial. Gorgeous cherry blossoms, each with eye-catching individuality, contrast with the deep, lustrous night sky of jet-black lacquer. In addition to the contrast of light and shadow in nature, distant stars faintly twinkling in the depths of the night are expressed with shell and gold, adding depth and breadth to the dial’s world. This piece was created with the desire for it to become a special item kept close at hand.
Nagare Sakura
(Cherry blossoms drifting in the wind)
On a mild spring day, cherry blossoms bloom beautifully. However, at times, they are exposed to the wind and scatter. Such a scene appears ephemeral yet powerful. Petals dance in the wind, flow with the wind, and as if becoming the wind itself, the cherry blossom snow celebrates the first spring wind. The lines of that trajectory drawn on the dial apply pressure only to the brush tip and are pulled in one breath. These living lines give birth to a story, and the entire watch becomes honed.
