MINASE "Shibo-Urushi" Series
Maki-e is not the only way to enrich the expression of Urushi.
"Shibo-Urushi" is different from ordinary Urushi and creates a strange yet beautiful space.
It uses a viscous mixture of Urushi and egg white. The unevenness created by the Urushi creates a unique landscape on the board.
Please note that the pattern of Shibo-Urushi is slightly different because it is hand-made one by one.
Scarlet Illusion
This technique gives a flow and interest to the Urushi ware which tends to be monotonous.
The equilibrium of shiny black and flickering scarlet has a depth that you will never get tired of.

Metallic Haze

A Sky Full of Shells
