Uruga 31

A beautiful structure

There are many Japanese words to describe beauty. There is a precise word for expressing each type of beauty, such as the beauty of the changing seasons, traditional beauty, and beauty seen in people’s behaviors or actions.

The Uruga Collections were named after the Japanese word “uruwashii.”
Japanese people associate this word with elegance, classiness, or spiritual nobility. For example, jewelry worn by royalty and nobility and the eyes of good-looking Hollywood actresses are referred to as “uruwashii.”
To express this beauty unique to Japan, MINASE launched the Uruga Collections. A unique clamping structure, unprecedented worldwide, is used to clamp the bezel, glass, and case together from both top and bottom using four prongs, making the entire watch look like a “uruwashii” jewel.

The glass and bezel are curved, the bezel, prongs, and index are delicately faceted, and sallaz polishing is applied.
The case also features a design that curves along the wrist to ensure an excellent fit. MINASE ISM casts eternal beauty.

Mature elegance born of dazzling contrast

Uruga is a line of watches designed with a unique contrast between the sharp edges and the smooth curvature that embody MINASE’s bold yet intricate aesthetic style.

The four separate parts of the elaborately faceted bezel give a brilliant finish and showcase how the prongs secure the gemstones on jewelry, creating a modern and refined look along with the glass that has a slight vertical curvature.
The horizontal gradation pattern on the dial is inspired by the glittering, languid waters of the Minase River, conveying an elegant, subtle and mature classiness.
