Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the MINASE brand
Since the launch of its first collection in 2005, based on the concept of "creating products that will still be talked about 100 years from now," MINASE has received unparalleled acclaim from watch collectors for its unique construction, three-dimensional designs born from unique ideas, and craftsmanship showcasing the brilliance of Zaratsu (Sallaz) polishing. The brand has grown a fanbase spanning Europe, the United States, and Asia. To express its gratitude, the brand has produced a special "SEVEN WINDOWS" model featuring a "Yukihira BLACK Gradation Dial" crafted using electroforming, an advanced dial manufacturing technique.

Yukihira gradation dial, crafted using the advanced technique of electroforming
This watch, with its Yukihira gradation dial in the "SEVEN WINDOWS" lineup, commemorates the brand’s 20th anniversary and is made using a method called "electroforming." This manufacturing process requires precise craftsmanship. First, a master prototype for the Yukihira pattern is created, and then the pattern is transferred to a resin mold. By layering copper plating on the transferred surface, it is possible to express delicate patterns that cannot be achieved using the embossing press method.

The copper-plated blank with the transferred pattern is first shaped, and then a black gradation coating is applied over the Yukihira pattern. The electroforming process creates a subtle unevenness on the dial surface, which catches light from various angles and gives off a unique glow. The dial is finished with a beautiful dial that subtly appears purple from an angle.

Meticulous attention to detail
The dial ring (the index part of the dial), which is the most distinctive part of a MINASE watch, is polished and then ion-plated to achieve an all-black finish, with additional polishing to highlight only the drill mark, the brand symbol, in a silver shine.

The inner case that holds the watch movement is engraved with a marking for being a 20th anniversary limited model, and the hands are coated with a vibrant blue-glowing luminescent coating.

MINASE’s brand story
A 20-year journey of pursuing our identity

President Tsuyoshi SUZUKI says: "Who are we? What are our origins? How do we pave the way for the future? As a result of constantly reflecting on these questions, we developed unique structures such as the case-in-case structure and the MORE structure, unattainable by existing watchmakers. When considering what would be fitting for our 20th anniversary collection, I chose the innovative 'SEVEN WINDOWS' collection, which made the MINASE brand widely recognized. The unique case structure, with maximized brilliance produced by Zaratsu polishing, powerfully expresses who we are."
About MINASE
The origin of MINASE is a drill, the brand’s symbol. The MINASE watch brand is a work of art crafted by KYOWA, a high-performance tool manufacturer with cutting and polishing technology that maximizes the precision and beauty of metal, with unsparing passion. The beauty of MINASE is bold yet precise. We have devised an ultra-3D design unimaginable to other watch brands worldwide and created a structure to polish even intricate cross-sections inaccessible to a polishing machine’s buff. MINASE watches are a collection featuring handmade craftsmanship, and without the technology, the starting point for this is unreachable. And even with the technology, passion and time are required for completion. With that, we continue to create watches, believing that customers worldwide eagerly await the ultimate in industrial design that combines the presence, advanced technology, and artistry of something that cannot be mass-produced.
