URUSHI - MAK-IE
Japanese artform, presented to the world with pride
This decorative technique is thought to have originated in the Nara period. It entails embedding gold dust and raden (nacre) into the surface of lacquerware and polishing them.
SEVEN WINDOWS Model
Four seasons
There is no reason not to draw the richness of Japan’s four seasons. And the beauty of each season was drawn in the traditional checkered pattern. The checkered pattern contains the same shape, which is why we dared to draw different shapes and designed it as a modern pattern. The ripples in the background were inspired by the abundance of water in Minase, and the four seasons are highlighted there. The balance between the blue glittering shells and the checkered pattern, and the dial composition and bright colors, nothing was compromised in design. The fusion of a non-flashy, old-fashioned pattern and a sharp watch, brings out the goodness of lacquer work.

Komon
Komon was born from plants, and the patterns have been loved since ancient times. The continuous beautiful patterns are not exclusive of Japan, but also similar to old European patterns. Feeling the connection of countries which has been passed on by the flow of people, the design was born. The difficulty of Komon lies in the orderly pattern. It is difficult not to make it monotonous and old-fashioned, and a new expression was achieved by dividing it into three parts. The size of each one pattern was particularly small, and it was a challenge to the limit of drawing with a brush. And the craftsman was also conscious of the color. Chic shades of blue and gray without using flashy colors. It would suit Komon’s history and precise lacquer work, thusly it suits the watch that spins with history.

Yoshino Cherry "Yoshino-Sakura"
Many people think of cherry blossoms when they think of flowers in Japan. It is a flower that has been loved for so long and decorates the spring in Japan. The evenly drawn cherry blossoms, are like an orderly procession of music troupes. The fun in this, is that each flower is different, just as each instrument and tone is different in the procession, even though they look the same. Using more than five kinds of processed gold, silver, colored metals, these many materials were put orderly, yet the beauty is not simple on the dial.

Wild cherry blossoms "Yama-Sakura"
The fun of this design is that it balances the imbalance of viewing small and large cherry blossoms from distance. It is interesting to see the different sizes being drawn by the same motif. The beauty of this difference is sensuous, similar to what we feel when we see pictures of planets and satellites. Without being aware of it, we can feel something like the golden ratio. Various materials, powders of various roughness, various colors. As a result, the existence of each small cherry blossom is highlighted, and the beauty of being densely packed is revealed.
